Richard has over five decades of deep industry experience in the scrap metal recycling business. Considered one of the most knowledgeable veterans still active in the scrap business today, Richard spends his time imparting his understanding of metals and business acumen to the Becker team. He oversees the non-ferrous marketing and overall non-ferrous production and quality control.
Growing up in the business as the third generation and joining his father full time after attending college, Richard has seen the business grow, change and become the mature, sophisticated industry it is today. Now he enjoys watching and helping the next generation evolve the business to the next level.
Richard continues to serve the scrap industry as a lifetime honorary board member for the Mid-America Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI). He spends his free time extensively traveling the world and practicing not being frustrated with his golf game.
